Attorney Wax’s presentation, titled “Utilization Review; Independent Medical Review & The Drug Formulary,” will offer all attendees an informative and unique insight into the legal realm of workers’ compensation claims. The session will focus particularly on Labor Code Regulations in terms of Utilization Review and Independent Medical review, as well as case law on Independent Medical Review appeals and Requests for Authorization. The latter part of this presentation will include a section on what exactly drug formulary it is, and when it takes effect.
